Ms. Ava Durga is a nationally known coach, advisor, educator, and confidante for men interested in cross-dressing, gender play, and kink, as well as a resource for their female partners. She is a certified consulting hypnotist and has additional training in hypnosis for sex problems.
Ava first dipped her feet into the deep waters of the kink ocean in 2001 when she worked as office manager at a large professional BDSM studio during a much-needed break from corporate life. It was there that she received formal training and hands-on practice in BDSM and discovered the satisfaction and fun of working with recreational cross-dressers.
Soon thereafter she returned to a more traditional corporate career, but she couldn’t stay away from the colorful lands of power exchange. She attended play parties, became a member of Club FEM, and over the years has learned from some of the best sexuality educators in the country through the Academy of S/M Arts in San Francisco, Beyond Leather, Leather University, Southeast Leatherfest, SPICE, local workshops of interest, Kink Academy.com, cherished mentors (Dr. John Warren and Lady Q of particular note), other events, and lots of reading, listening, observation, and practice.
In 2017, Ava found herself at a cocktail party next to Lady Qitara, then Headmistress of Club FEM Southeast Florida, and her charming cross-dressing husband, Lady Q had recently retired after a long career as a renowned prodomme specializing in feminization. They chatted about the fun of cross-dressing and the CD and transfemme friends they had in common, but much more about their respective philosophies on the topic and–most importantly–the chronically unmet needs and concerns of gender-fluid individuals and recreational cross-dressers, particularly those who are deeply closeted. By the end of the conversation, Lady Q had convinced Ava to launch her own transformation and coaching practice.
With the help of Lady Q and supportive friends, Ava established a transformation salon in a charming lakeside condo and the clients began to call. During the subsequent years, Ava discovered even more about the social, emotional, relationship, and sexual desires of this surprisingly large but often misunderstood population.
When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, she suspended in-person appointments and closed the Sissy Parlor, but had already recognized the need for an online community for recreational CDs, transwomen, and their admirers. In late 2020, she created Circle of Q, a unique private online social community where screened members worldwide could meet and socialize online. Circle of Q grew to more than 500 members before closing in 2022 so Ava could focus on what she loves best–individual online coaching and hypnosis work--and continued working with clients throughout the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, India, and elsewhere by phone and Zoom..
Ms. Ava has advised more than 1,000 cross-dressers and transfemmes in person, by phone, and by webcam. She is privy to the adventures, deep secrets, and needs of a minority community she has come to appreciate as only a mature woman with her experience could. Her approach toward feminization doesn’t include shaming, degradation, or punishments--it's developmental and affirming, focused on balance, self-acceptance, relaxation, and sexual and emotional wellness.
Yes, she can use a firm hand and considered psychological interplay. Yes, she knows how to administer the lash. Yes, she understands the intricacies of chastity and pegging. But it’s her clients’ personal liberation she’s most after--the freedom, growth, relaxation, and inner peace that occurs when a straight or bi male is permitted to temporarily drop the burden of masculinity and explore his repressed feminine energy.
Cross-dressing and gender play, sometimes accompanied by deeply taboo fantasies, can provide altered states of consciousness, new perspectives, pure relaxation, erotic pleasure, and sometimes catharsis. Ms. Ava finds deep meaning in facilitating those experiences and providing a safe, sane outlet for for doing so,
We live in the age of the transitory, the quick fix, an Instagram post that “breaks the net” only to be replaced by another the very next day. Ava Durga knows the currency of authenticity: the longevity of goodwill, pinpoint focus, and nurturing those who come to her initially as clients but always leave as friends, forever transformed and feeling seen and cared for.” ~ Ralph Greco, Jr.
I keep a low profile and do not promote or advertise on social media. Most clients find me through referrals and organic search, and nearly all become repeat clients, I prioritize quality over quantity--always.
